2010 is off to a rough start. I’ll be sending out my good thoughts and energy tonight by playing music at the Mansion Inn from 8-11 pm.
With the massive earthquake devastation in Haiti it is easy to be overwhelmed by feeling of what can I do? I know I am. I found my answer through the Bill Clinton Foundation:

In 1995 or so I had a few gigs at a very inspirational venue in Long Valley, NJ called Rosie’s Cabaret at Tucker’s Breakfast King. It was operated by C.T. Tucker who many know and love as the frontman of The Blue Sparks from Hell. I played a handful of very memorable (for me) gigs there. At the time I was just starting to get my act together and Tucker was very encouraging with his kind enthusiasm. “Tucker’s” was a link to a great network of musicians and friends in the area. I even (re)met my 2nd cousin Laurie Cagno there and teamed up with her for many gigs thanks to Tucker.
Unfortunately our old friend is not doing so well right now. Tucker got diagnosed with Lymphoma recently. He’s currently in the hospital getting chemo. There’s a blog up here: http://howistucker.com/ where you can get updates on his condition and also leave him a message that his wife Sue will read to him at the hospital. Just add a comment on any of the blog entries and it’ll get sent to Sue. He cannot take calls or visitors right now but I’m sure an electronic hello from some old friends would be a welcomed boost right now.
For the last bunch of years in addition to a frontman and a farmer Tucker has been an animal trainer for television and movies. In order to deal with the medical expenses Tucker and Sue are selling some of their lovely animals. If you’re on the market for a potbelly pig or a miniture donkey check out the Rockandrollanimals.com website, and Rosiespetites.com
Hang in there Tucker, we’re all thinking good thoughts in your direction (we do what we do).
